Zi Char Singapore (Savory Seafood Restaurant at Lavender)

Zi Char, 煮炒 and tasty Chinese cooking is something new on my blog. Mine mostly are cafe based but this time round we are invited by Fisher's Tavern Seafood Boss "Song" for the food tasting. I Guess you would find this name very familiar and yes it is, it was located at Yishun previously and it just shifted to Lavender CT hub for 2 months.

 Today, me Jess, Irene, Yunzi, Olivia and the rest went for food tasting together and  It is such a fun session when you get to do tasting with fellow bloggers.

                                         

As usual you know, when gals gather around, we would take lots of photos, so this is not exception hahhaa. This time round I put in a few short clip to show you the fooooooddddd:)

Can you Guess how much we ate? 6 gals and 1 guy in total. The boss prepared 6 dishes for us, supposingly 7 but we are too full to take in another dish.
Let's take a look of the food we ate:)

Salted egg yolk crab (Market Price)
-The egg yolk gravy is a little different from other Zhi Char which I've tasted. It is not those dry and sticky on the shell but yet it came with a little gravy which u can see from my short video.

Sambal Fish (Market Price)
- For me is real spicy and of course, i can't take spicy:( yes, who say Malaysian must know how to take spicy:) So, couldn't really comment much but for spicy lovers, this would be an ideal dish.

Yam Ring $22
-This is also not something new for me to say, a must try dish in every Zhi Char right? But this, I feel the Yam Ring can be a bit more crispier but the ingredients in the yam ring taste better.

White Bee Hoon $26 (medium)
-This is the new created dish by Fish Tavern's. Lots of seafood with it, they do prepared the broth before hand and a mixture of the freshness of seafood taste. So sinful but hmmm food you know?

Signature style brancurd $16 (medium)
- this is one of the popular among us as they made their own Beancurd, is softer than the normal i ate outside and the minced meat was a mixture of 3 items.

Honey Chicken $16 (medium)
-I like this, is crispy but not too much and we ate it after it cool down yet still crispy

Even though Fisher's Tavern Seafood is not a new name to you but do you know they are Halal Certified? Now you know you have more option for Halal Certified location:)
